Easter Preview - Jelly Bean Cookies!

Can you believe that yesterday was the first day of Lent and Easter is right around the corner!?!  How time flies...

Here are some small jelly bean cookies I made.  They are super cute and small enough to be considered a nibble. I'll be posting more Easter cookies in the coming days, so make sure to swing back by!

Fat Wednesday?

Okay, so I'm a day late...but here are some King Cake cookies I made for a Mardi Gras party.  I was unable to hide a baby inside, but maybe I'll perfect that technique next year! 

Junior Achievement Cookies!

Here are some Lucky Littles that were made for some very dedicated University of Central Florida students.  Instead of going wild on Spring Break, these philanthropic go-getters volunteered for an alternative Spring Break hosted by Junior Achievement!  What a great way to give back!

Baptism Cookies!

A sweet, sweet little girl was baptized this weekend.  To celebrate this very joyful occasion, these cookies were made in her honor!

Antique Cookie Cutters

Over the weekend, I was given a very special gift - antique cookie cutters!  In a streak of fate, someone I love was trying to find a home for lots and lots of cookie cutters.  I was more than happy to take them off of their hands.  As I searched through the hundreds of cookie cutters, I was pleased as punch to find lots of antique cutters - some in their original boxes.  Here's a sampling of my wonderful windfall!

Say You Love Them With Flour

Making people feel good was the reason I learned how to bake.  Back when I first started baking, I loved "surprise attacking" people with baked goods.  Many times I would surprise attack them on a random day just to say "I appreciate you....you're a pretty neat person." 

The best thing about giving sweets was the look of  happiness on their faces when a treat came their way.  Everyone likes a sweet surprise!

A little something yummy is a wonderful way to say to someone--you're the bee's knees.  Next time you feel like celebrating someone special, ditch the flowers and send some flour!
